When you are adding keywords to your photos in Picasa, you can add them in bulk to photos by selecting each of the photos to add the same keyword to in the Library view. Then press CTRL+K to bring up the keyword window. Enter the keywords you want and click add. You’ll see a progress bar as the keywords are added.

Best of all, these keywords are turned into tags automatically if you upload the pictures to Flickr.
